Frequently asked questions
Please read our disclaimer
about this information
What is a catalog card? The term
"catalog card" is commonly referred to as credit offered to be
used only in a specific catalog or store. These cards are not traditional credit
cards such as Visa or MasterCard and often charge high fees. We emphasize to
all applicants: Please be aware of these fees before applying for any of
these offers.
What is guaranteed credit? The term
"guaranteed credit" is commonly referred to as approval with no
turndowns based upon credit ratings or employment status. It is especially
important to read the "terms and conditions" of offers issuing
guaranteed credit lines, as fees and rates may be higher than traditional lines
of credit.
When will I receive my card?
We recommend viewing the issuer's terms and conditions for further
information.
What credit rating do I need to
obtain approval for these offers?
You are in the section for catalog cards for poor or no credit ratings. This means that you can have
a record of poor credit or no credit at all. Generally, people with credit scores of 599 and under
fall in this category. If you have a score of at least 600, you should go to
the instant credit card offers
section for people with average to perfect credit ratings.
What interest rate or terms will the
issuer offer me? Please read the issuer's terms and conditions.
Is my credit report or score used in
the approval process? Please read the issuer's terms and conditions.
I do not know my score, how can I
obtain this? You can either
request your report by mail (normally does not include your FICO score) or order
a full credit report
and/or score on-line. We strongly urge every consumer to obtain a credit
report annually to ensure accuracy of data reported to the 3 major credit
bureaus, Experian, Equifax and Trans Union.
